Angel was marked whilst standing in the pre-operative area. She was taken to the operating room and placed under general anesthesia. Her chest was prepped and draped in a sterile fashion. The inframammary fold was marked 9.5 cm caudad to the nipple under stretch which was not within the native IMF. The procedure began on the right side and analogous procedures were done right and left. The incision line was infiltrated with 1% lidocaine with epinephrine. DP 1 pockets were developed with the electro cautery. Once I was satisfied with the pocket symmetry, the pockets were irrigated with betadine. The implants, which had been soaking in betadine, were brought onto the field and placed into the pocket with aid of the Keller funnel. There was good size and shape symmetry. The fascia was closed with 2- 0 monocryl and the dermis with interrupted and running 4-0 monocryl Dressings were applied and she was taken to the PACU in good condition.
