What are injectable fillers?
The Juvéderm® family of injectable fillers are used most often to soften lines or creases around the mouth, enhance the cheeks, or make the lips fuller. The filler lasts one to two years depending on the location of the injection. Juvéderm® products are hyaluronic acid that vary in their cross-linking and viscosity and each has specific applications.
Who is a candidate for injectable fillers?
Anyone in good health who is bothered by lines or creases around the mouth or would like fuller cheeks or lips may be a candidate for injectable fillers. Patients with a history of easy bleeding should discuss this with their doctor prior to receiving injections. Also inform Clareo staff about any medications and over the counter products you take, including blood thinners, aspirin, or ibuprofen.

Recovery and results
Clareo staff injects fillers in our offices after applying ice to the area to be treated. The fillers have Novocain mixed into them to minimize any discomfort from the injections. You will see the results immediately. Some swelling after the injection is to be expected and you should apply a cold compress frequently to the area for the first 24 hours after the procedure. Your results will last 12 to 24 months depending on the area treated and the filler used.
